Hurdles Field Down To 4
There will be a prize for every runner in the Sydenham Hurdles at Riccarton tomorrow —if all four of them are on their feet at the end.
The race was left with four runners when Kumai, Eiffel Tower and Identification were scratched yesterday.
Kumai was a double acceptor, and is to run in the Lincoln Steeplechase. It will be Kumar’s second race over country at Riccarton. The first was in the 1967 Grand National, in which he was the win favourite and the last of the four to finish.
