Visit By U.S. Destroyer

WELLINGTON, August 8. The United States destroyer De Haven will arrive in Auckland on August 15 for a fiveday visit . The Dehaven has served with the United States 7tb Fleet in the Vietnam area for the last two years. She is on her way home to Long Beach, California.
Tribute By Staff.—The Waterfront Industry Commission (Mr A. E. Bockett) who will retire on August 31, was bidden farewell by the staff of the Lyttelton branch of the commission at a private function last evening. Mr Bockett was appointed commissioner in 1951.
