Technical Switch For Cup Final

A full-strength Technical will probably make one tactical change in its South Island final of the Chatham Cup soccer competition against Roslyn-Wakari at English Park tomorrow.

The New Zealand international, K. France, is likely to adopt a more defensive role, and the Canterbury representative, B. Wilkinson, take up the position of midfield schemer. Before his injury, France was at his most effective, helping to destroy opposition attacks and setting up his own forwards. Since his return he has been playing at insideforward, and because he is still not completely match-fit, has been unable to do the same amount of work. His tactical switch with Wilkineon could give Technical the strength in mid-field it has been lacking, for noone works harder and to

greater purpose than Wilkinson.

Defensive Weakness Roslyn has made a surprise move, bringing its goal-scor-ing centre-forward, A. Middlemiss, to centre-half, and moving M. McKenzie to winghalf. Mlddlemiss has been a constant danger to all southern league defences this season, but Roslyn may be concerned that It has been conceding too many goals in recent matches. The match will be refereed by Mr J. Denley, of Tlmaru.
