The Canterbury teams to take part in the national secondary schools* fencing championships in Christchurch are:—
Boys.—A team: A. Piper (captain, Christchurch 8.H.5.), S. Crout (Hillmorton H.S.), R. Neate (Riccarton H.S.); reserve. R. Johnston (Linwood H.S.). B team: R. Sherlock (Christchurch 8.H.5.), M. Clayton (Hillmorton H.S.), J. Crosbie (Hillmorton H.S.); reserve, B. Garland (Christchurch 8.H.5.).
Girls.—A team: R. Matheson (captain, Cashmere H.S.), L. Clarke (Avonside G.H.S.). J. Bliss (Aranui H.S.); reserve, E. Greenfield (Cashmere H.S.). B team: M. Gavigan (Villa Maria), M. Sissons (Villa Marla), S. Ramsay (Avonside G.H.S.); reserve, H. Tryon (Villa Marla). Individual Competitors. Boys. D. Webb (Riccarton H.S.), A. Mcßride (Riccarton H.S.). Girls: C.
