So many members of the Legislative Assembly have fallen victim to the epidemic that the Premier (Mr David Brand) has adjourned the House until next Tuesday afternoon. He himself has influenza. Two thousand miles across the continent, in Sydney, thousands of workers and schoolchildren have fallen foul of the virus, and one doctor said last night that general practitioners had been “run off their feet."
