Psychological Society

The first annual conference of the New Zealand Psychological Society will be held at the University of Auckland from August 10 to 13. The society was incorporated in 1967 to take over the affairs of the New Zealand branch of the British Psychological Society. It is the only professional society of qualified psychologists in New Zealand and has more than 150 members.

A number of delegates from Canterbury will attend, and seven of the scientific papers to be read at the conference are by staff of the University of Canterbury. The conference will discuss scientific and professional aspects of experimental, clinical, occupational and educational psychology.
