Kosygin Opposes Frontier Changes

STOCKHOLM, July 12.
The Soviet Prime Minister (Mr Kosygin) has equated any demands by West Germaity for changes in the frontiers of Europe with demands for a third world war.
Speaking at a dinner given by the Swedish Government at the end of the first day of his brief official visit, Mr Kosygin said: “The main reason for the tension in Europe is the demand from the revanchist military circles in the German Federal Republic for a change in the post-war frontiers.”

“He who calls for a revision of this post-war order calls for a new world war,” Mr Kosygin said. He reasserted Soviet interest in an all-European conference because this should be able to ensure peace for many years, he said. He also reiterated Soviet attitudes towards United States policies in Vietnam, and Israel’s occupation of Arab areas in the Middle East.
