WHEAT FOR TAURANGA

Shipment In Kaimai

The Union Steam Ship Company’s 2007-ton motor vessel Kaimai, which is discharging newsprint at Lyttelton from Tauranga, is expected to sail for Dunedin today to complete discharge. On her return to Lyttelton the Kaimai will load 18,000 sacks of bagged wheat and 5000 sacks of pollard and barley. The cargo is consigned to Tauranga and is expected to relieve the shortage caused by the withdrawal of bulk wheat vessels being fitted with shifting boards.
