SOCCER ASSN TO PROTEST

Concern about the “offhanded” attitude of the Canterbury Football Association, and the manner in which it apparently altered fixtures to suit itself, was expressed at a meeting of the South Canterbury Football Association management committee. The meeting decided to protest to the Canterbury association at its failure to advise of the decision to cancel the southern league soccer match between Timaru City and New Brighton on Saturday. The secretary (Mr G. Moore) said the only information the management committee had was that contained in Christchurch newspaper reports.
