Fairiie has developed a rash arising from a throat infec tion, which caused his with drawal from the Wimbledon championships after he won his first-round singles match The other New Zealander 0. Panin, playing in the Scottish championships, at Edin burgh, reached the third round when he beat M. A Bishop (Britain), 6-1, 6-0.
