Cholera In Philippines

P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) MANILA, July 9 About 90 people are reported to have died in an outbreak of cholera in four towns in the province of Camarines Sur, 150 miles south-east of Manila. Dr Jose Bulaon, a private physician, said an average of four to five deaths a day were being recorded in the province. There has, however, been no official confirmation of the figures. Health Department officials say they appear high, and an official check is being made. But President Ferdinand Marcos has ordered the Health and National Defence Departments to set up four hospital stations to treat the victims.
