The Junior national hardcourt tournament is a new one which will have an age qualification of under 19. oh the last day of the national Uhder-19tournament— January IX 1969. ~. \ Applications win be called from associations to hold the shield semi-finals and finals and the national junior hardcourt tournament fa the May school holidays. . . Brown), who is also a member of the junior advisory Committee, said that over the last few years there had been a burden bh junior players at .ode time of the pew because

(North Shore), C. Ritchie (Waikato), P. Hern (Auckland), A. Hodgeon (Waikato). C. Edwards (Auckland), C. Healey (Hutt Valley), S. Stirling (Southland), J. Gunn (Wellington), C. Iredale (Canterbury). These players have been selected from the national under-19 and under-17 ranking lists. From the boys’ lists, D. A. Parun (Wellington). G. Snook (Auckland), D. A. Turner (North Shore), L. Sherwin (North Shore) and . A. Guise (Auckland) are not eligible. Parun, Rae and Simpson were the Linton Cup team this year. All the rest are ranked players except Smith, who has been added.
From the girls’ lists, J. Bishop , (Canterbury) and C. Bray (Auckland) are ineligible but all three of the last Wilson Cup team, Pryde, Legge and Stevens, are still eligible. Unranked players are Gunn and Iredale.
