SUPS DELAY TRAIN

Heavy Rain At Kaikoura Almost four inches of rain during the last three days caused slips on the South Island Main Trank railway line south of Kaikoura early yesterday, and the express goods train from Blenheim to Christchurch was delayed for four hours near Feraiehurst The District Traffic Manager of the Railways Department in Christchurch (Mr M. Numerous small slips occurred in the Hundalee Hills, but the road remained open.
