SHIFTING BOARDS
Installation In Calm
Shifting boards approved by the Marine Department are being installed in the Calm, which arrived at Lyttelton from Auckland in ballast yesterday. The work is expected to take at least a week, according to the Canterbury Steam Shipping Company’s managing-director, Mr C. H. Crombie. The vessel will probably load her next bulk wheat cargo at Dunedin. The Calm has been engaged in the coastal bulk wheat trade for more than 18 months.
