Race Fights In London
(N.Z.PA.-Reuter— Copyright) LONDON. July 8. Police were struck by flying dustbins hurled during a running fight between separate opposing racial demonstrators in central London yesterday. There were repeated scuffles in several parts of the city as hundreds of police tried to protect anti-immi-gation marchers from student members of the Colonial Freedom Movement. Several people were injured, including police, and some demonstrators were arrested. The worst clash came in Fleet Street, about two miles from the scehe of earlier fights in pouring rain.
