Sir,—A little comprehension by “G.8.C.” would have spared us his supposedly humorous circumnavigation of the point. N.Z.B.C. telephonists have a dedicated champion should their quality ever be questioned. Mr Robinson's remarks must give us pause One wonders how prevalent in the N.Z.8.C., and in other Government agencies, is the attitude: “Don’t operate a service if a proven demand exists.”—Yours, etc., OMEGA.
