O’Dowda At Full-Back
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. The All Black trialist, B. 1 O’Dowda, will return to the Taranaki Rugby team to play France on Wednesday, July 17. O’Dowda will play at fullback, K. P. Hurley moving to centre in place of G. McCutcheon. The other major change in the team that lost to Welling ton last week is that A. L. Campbell replaces P. G. Coles as flanker. The All Black lock, A. E. Smith, injured for the Wellington match, returns as captain. The team is: The team is: O’Dowda; R. Clarke, Hurley, W. D. R. Currey; J. E. Irving, T. N. Wolfe; D. J. Wards; T. D. Jenkins: M. C. Wills, Campbell, Smith, I. M. Eliason; A. J. Gardiner, J. Major, B. L. Muller. Reserves: R. O’Dowda, McCutcheon, P. G. Coles, F. W. Harris.
