Support For Hanging
(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, July 5. A move for the reintroduction of capital punishment was supported yesterday by the Nelson provincial executive of Federated Farmers. The executive backed a remit from Otago to the annual national conference, which said: “That Federated Farmers strongly urges the Government to reintroduce capital punishment for all cases of premeditated murder and also for the murder of police officers and wardens.”
