(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TORONTO, July 5 A $lO million damages suit by seven Ontario families with thalidomide babies against the American manu facturer of the drug was settled out of court today. Lawyers for the families, announcing the settlement yesterday, would not disclose the amount. One of the lawyers said the Ontario Chief Justice, Judge Dalton Wells, had approved the settlement. The company involved, Richardson-Merrell, Inc., of Ohio, had initiated the talks, he said.
