Pr«*i lire- Copyright) LONDON, July 4 Fears that Commonwealth citizens arriving in Britain for “a temporary stay" might not return home, did not entitle immigration officers to refuse permission to stay, the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Parker, ruled in the High Court. Lord Parker, sitting with Mr Justice James and Mr Jus tice Bridge, allowed an ap peal by Amrick Singh Mehat. aged 19, a Sikh, from a notice served on him by an immigration officer refusing permission to stay six weeks with his brother.
