Royal Bid At Stud
After one stud season in Canterbury, the imported stallions Minuit and Bellagioca are being returned to their owners by Mr M. H. Williams, of the Old Mill Stud, Belfast. Minuit came to Belfast from Auckland, and Bellagioca was sent north from the Chelandry Stud, near Invercargill. Mr Williams has secured the lease of Royal Bid for the next breeding season. This Southland-owned stayer, a son of the Defoe horse. Howe, won the New Zealand Cup in 1966.
