Property In Wahine (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 15. The Union Steam Ship Company has sent a letter to all survivors of the Wahine disaster, advising them that It is now even more unlikely that personal property will be recovered from the wreck. After informing survivors that the company was now responsible for the removal and disposal of the wreck, the letter says that it may not be practicable to recover the effects of passengers left in cabins and cars. The letter concludes by again reminding survivors that the company does not accept liability for property lost in the wreck.
