EXECUTIONS APPROVED

Kiangsi Radio said nine other people were tried at the mass trial, in Hanchang, Kiangsi Province, and given prison sentences. According to the Chinese radio, the huge crowd roared its approval as the sentences were announced for the “anti-party elements,” who were also charged with murdering Communists. "The five leaders of the counter-revolutionary clique were at once dragged and bound on the execution ground,” the broadcast said. “They were immediately shot dead. The Maoists were all very elated.”
