WATCHET LIKELY AT GISBORNE

Watchet finished brilliantly when clear to be Mth in Saturday's Te Hapara Handicap at Gisborne, and must be conceded a chance of making amends in the Gisborne Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double tomorrow. Alsarita must again be fancied in spite of a weight rise of eight pounds, and Odeon. Anne Lane. Mycet. and Happy Return will also have a good following. The second leg of the T.A.B. double is the Members’ Handicap. The first day winner, Bright Notes, scored by five lengths, and an additonal furlong is unlikely to cause him much bother. However, the unlucky horse on Saturday was Arragon Lad, which received a very bad check after two furlongs and finished fourth. Ho eould win tomorrow. The track win be good. Selections:—
