Motorway Delay
<A T .Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. May 12. Work on the Southern Motorway at Green Island, south of Dall Street, has been suspended while the National Roads Board continues to investigate slips in the area. Sections of the motorway to the north were still being constructed, the resident engineer of the Ministry of Works, Mr A. G. Ferry, said yesterday. The National Roads Board was still considering its report on the causes of the slips, Mr Ferry said. “When the causes are established there will be redesigning and work will be continued.”
