PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a meeting of the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board held on the 17th day of April, 1968, the following resolution was passed by way of Special Order, AND THAT such resolution will be confirmed at a meeting of the said Board at Hornby to be held on the 15th day of May, 1968: In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on K by Section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and by Section 45 of the “Electric Power Boards Act, 1925,” and with the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board, THE CENTRAL CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD (hereinafter called “the Board”) HEREBY RESOLVES BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER as follows: (a) For the puropse of further reticulating the Board’s district, the Board hereby resolves to borrow in New Zealand the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars (8400,000), such loan to be known as “No. 19 Reticulation Loan, 1968." (b) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be ten years.

(c) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and three-quarters per cent per annum. (d) The Board shall before raising the said loan or any part thereof make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund and shall make annual payments to such sinking fund at a rate of not less than 3.02 per cent per annum of the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. (e) The payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan money. (f) The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent of any amount raised. (g) Payment of interest and sinking fund instalments in respect of the said loan, and the repayment thereof shall be secured by a special rate annually recurring of l/28th of a cent in the dollar on the value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Canterbury Electric Power District. PURSUANT to sub-section 2 of Section 34 of the Local Authorities Loan Act, 1956, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a poll of ratepayers of the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board is required to be taken on the proposal to raise the said loan & 5 per eent of the ratepayers so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Board and received at the office of the Board not later than the day before the date fixed for confirmation of the resolution to raise the said loan.
