Barber, who is available once more for the England test team, had an early taste of the Australian bowling when he played for the Duke of Norfolk’s XI against the tourists at Arundel. Barber, an attractive left-hand opening batsman, is shown playing to leg a ball from D. R. Renneberg. The wicket-keeper is B. Taber, and the slips fieldsmen J. R. Inverarity and L. Joslin.
