Chaplin Wins Boys’ Chess

R. Chaplin, of Christchurch Boys' High School, won the Canterbury schoolboys' chess championship when It concluded yesterday. Only half a point behind Chaplin was M. Yeabsley, of Shirley Boys' High School. Yeabsley was held to a draw by J. J. Mulligan, of Timaru Boys’ High School. In the final round, otherwise ho would have finished equal on point* with Chaplin.
