OFFERING CUT
Remaining Wool Sales
Light offerings will be made at some of the wool sales still to be held in New Zealand this season.
At four of these sales, according to figures given to woolbuyers at the Christchurch sale yesterday by Mr B. P. HUI, president of the New Zealand Woolbuyers* Association, it is estimated that offerings will total 54,500 bales, compared with 96,000 bales set down to be offered at these sales when the roster of sales was organised. The estimated offerings are. with the allocations set down for each sale in parenthesis. Dunedin, 14,512 bales, including 2107 bales of Wool Commission stock (26,000 bales); Wanganui, 12,000 bales (22,000); Invercargill, 15,000 bales (28,000) and Wellington, 13,000 bales (20,000). Even if these light offerings did not stimulate the market, trade observers Mid, they would not do it any harm. Sales have also still to be held at Napier and Auckland. There are two more Auckland sales this season, one of two days.
