‘Sound Barrier’ Mystery
(N.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) PORTREATH (England), May 6. British skin-divers claim they have encountered a “sound barrier” while swimming near cliffs below a secret weapons research station at Portreath, Cornwall. “It sounds like something from a science fiction film—a pinging noise,” one of them said yesterday. The local member’ of Parliament, Dr David Kerr, said yesterday that he would call the attention of Parliament to the reports.
