“N.Z. To Be Informed”
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 6. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said tonight he was in close touch with the United States and other governments of the Vietnam allies over the developing Vietnam situation. He was commenting on the coming talks in Paris between United States and North Vietnamese representatives.
“Arrangements have been made to keep New Zealand and the other countries directly involved informed of the course the negotiations take,” he said. “There will be' ample opportunity tor New Zealand to make its views known, though at this early stage the main requirement is to find out, from the preliminary contacts between the United States and North Vietnam, what possibilities are open to us.”
