Kaiapoi Shipping
Any proposals for the reopening of a shipping trade between Kaiapoi and Wellington from C. Morgan Williams and Son, Ltd, will be supported by the Kaiapoi Borough Council. The company said at last evening’s meeting of the council that such a service was desirable in the public interest. The company had submitted two applications to the Waterfront Industry Tribunal. No date for hearing had been set. Until the results of a general survey being made of waterfront conditions were available the company wanted the council’s support in its efforts for reopening the trade.
