The New Zealand gelding Bywon, scored a narrow win in the Cumberland Handicap, worth $6OOO. at Randwick. Sydney. on Saturday. Ridden by W. A. Smith, Bywon beat the New Zealand-bred Auto Filou by half a neck. This was Bywon’s third start In Australia.
