RACING Diinraven Likely At Waverley

The major attraction at the Waverley Racing Club’s meeting at Waverley tomorrow will be the reappearance of the top winter galloper, Dunraven.

Dunraven has not raced since he ran eighth behind Chapel Belle in the Nainai Handicap, on the third day of the Wellington Racing Club’s October meeting.

The Resurgent six-year-old has raced only six times this season for one win. That was the Shorts Handicap at Trent-

ham on a firm track when he beat General Myth and Serena.

On that form alone, Dunraven would take beating tomorrow.

The field hardly resembles any degree of class and the six furlongs should suit Dunraven. However, he has suffered in the barrier draw and of sixteen runners only Understudy has drawn outside him.

Understudy, the three-year-old, Roger, and the consistent Linesman look the best of the others.

The first leg of the T.A.B. double will be the Besley Memorial in which Cox, Fair Koral and Cabriere look a likely trio. Cox ran second to Game at Feilding at his last start and although he is having a busy season his form shows no sign of tapering off. Selections:
