OVERSEAS TRADING

SYDNEY B. continued to dominate trading on a bullish stock market yesterday when the shares rose to a record 2230 c, eased back slightly to 2170 c and later firmed to close at 2210 c. This was a gain of 160 c on Friday s last sale. Western Mining Corporation, although overshadowed by 8.H.P., was another stock that stood out. The shares opened at 950 c, rose to 990 c, eased back to 910 c and later firmed to close at 930 c, a gain of 40c over Friday's last sale. C. was another miner to stand out when buyers pushed the shares up 60c to a new peak of 1470 c. Another good rise was recorded by Mt Isa. when the shares put on 36c to 626 c.

Bank stocks also gained ground with the Bank of New South Wales gaining 10c to 684 c.
