Five Children Mutilated
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BALTIMORE, April 22. An 18-year-old janitor has been charged with the deaths of five children whose mutilated bodies were discovered in a south-west Baltimore park. Reginald Vernon Oats was charged on four counts of homicide, three counts of assault with intent to kill, and two counts of assault with attempt to rape. The five bodies were discovered on Friday concealed in thick undergrowth at a spot to which Oats is said to have led the police. The victims, five-year-old twins, two 10-year-olds and an eight-year-old, had been reported missing last Wednesday. The police arrested Oats when, according to them, he was found in the park with a bag containing parts of the bodies.
