Goalby One Shot Ahead
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LAS VEGAS (Nevada). The United States Masters champion, R. Goalby, shot a five-under-par 66 yesterday to take a one-stroke lead in the SUSIS.OOO tournament of champions. Goalby sank birdie putts on four of the last six moles for a 54-hole total of 206. D. January, who had been tied for the lead with D. Sikes after 36 holes, was in second place. The New Zealander, R. J. Charles, was tied with R. Knudson in twelfth place. Charles yesterday shot a 74 for a total of 215. His earlier rounds were 73 and 68.
