London Bridge Price $US2.4m
(N.Z P A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, April 19. City of London authorities confirmed yesterday that London Bridge would be shipped to Arizona at a price of $U52,460,000. The buyer is the McCulloch Oil Corporation, of California, which plans to reassemble the bridge across a scenic waterway being developed at the new Lake Havasu City. Already workmen are dismantling and numbering the big granite blocks from the 1500 ft span that has bridged the River Thames for 137 years. Robert P. McCulloch, jun., a director of the purchasing company, assured a press conference that London Bridge would be reconstructed with all due dignity and respect.
