FIRM’S CAR SALES
Legal Advice Sought Legal advice will be taken by the Waimairi County Council as to whether it can stop A. C. Rhodes Ltd, from displaying and selling used cars from its service station at the corner of Newnham Terrace and Riccarton Road. The firm’s solicitors, in a letter received by the council at its meeting this week, said that when the firm was granted a transfer from Church Corner, the transfer included the right to sell used cars which the firm had had since 1961. Any attempt to curtail the firm’s business at this late stage was quite out of order, and any attempt to do so would be resisted by Supreme Court action for an injunction, the solicitors said.
