Bread Vendors Hit Poles
(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 19. Two bread vendors both driving small vans, crashed into power poles while making their rounds in Auckland early this morning. Mr T. J. du Pont, of Glen Eden, was trapped for several minutes in his van when it rolled over after hitting a pole at 5.30 a.m. One hour later, Mr R. K. Dobbs, of Morningside, hit a pole on another corner. Mr du Pont was treated in hospital and sent home. Mr Dobbs was not hurt. He had with him his wife, who was admitted to Middlemore Hospital, and his three-year-old daughter. They suffered facial cuts.
