Widow’s Mite
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 19. An Orawia widow, her 18-year-old farmer son and her retired parents, won the $24,000 first prize in the Golden Kiwi Lottery No. 331, which was drawn on Thursday. The widow, Mrs W. M. Hamilton, of Feldwick, said last night she had not thought how she would spend her share of the prize. “We do hope to go for a trip overseas, but we’re not sure where,” she said. Mrs Hamilton said she had won a $lO prize in an Art Union, “but that was a long time ago.”
