Fire Seen By-Passer-by
A passer-by who noticed a fire in a flat at 39 Springfield Road last evening broke a window and used a garden hose on the fire until the brigade arrived. The alarm was given at 8.58 p.m. The flat, occupied by Mr P. Brown, was one of three in a large wooden house. One room was moderately damaged by fire.
