DETECTIVES MOVE
The Christchurch Criminal Investigation Branch yesterday began its move from the Central Police Station to the Skelton, Frostick building in Hereford Street, formerly occupied by the Health Department. Detective Superintendent F. A. Gordon said yesterday that the main move was planned for today. The new offices, on the second floor, would be open from 8 a.m. till 10.30 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. on Sunday. Anyone with matters which needed inquiries by detectives should get in touch with the detective section in the new quarters. However, anyone who called at the Central station with a complaint would have the complaint taken there. The telephone number for the detective section would remain 71-889.
Chambers of Commerce.— The president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce (Mr E. N. Adams, of Inver cargill) will meet members of the Canterbury Chambei of Commerce on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Mr Adams will be accompanied by the secretary iof the Associated Chambers ! (Mr A. O. Heany, of Wellington).
