GOLD DROPS IN PRICE
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, April 19. The official market price of gold bullion was dropped in London, Zurich, and Beirut yesterday. London bullion dealers, at their morning price-fixing ceremony, lowered their rate by 20 cents to 5U537.60 an ounce. Zurich dealers clipped 12 cents off their rate when they fixed a range of between 5U537.50 to 5U537.75, and in the Beirut free market, 25 cents was knocked off, making the rate there $U538.25.
