Injuries In Accidents
Stuart Cowles, aged 15, of 24 Westburn Terrace, Christchurch, suffered an injury to his leg when the cycle he was riding and a car were involved in an accident at the corner of Geraldine Street and Edgeware Road at 7.59 p.m. yesterday. He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital. His condition last evening was reported to be fairly satisfactory. A motor-cyclist, Walter Argus, aged 15, of 10 Bridle Path Road, Heathcote, suffered a broken leg when he was involved in a collision with a car in Centaurus Road at 8.40 a.m. yesterday. He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital where his condition last evening was described as satisfactory. Head injuries were suffered by Fred Arnold Standeven, aged 45, of 215 Lyttelton Street, when his car and another collided outside 224 Lyttelton Street at 6.59 p.m. yesterday. He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital. His condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory.
