ARABS’ TASK
Nasser’s Call (N.Z P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MANSURA (Nile Delta), April 19. President Nasser told Egyptians last night that their first task was to liberate Israeli-occupied territories, but he warned them that the fight against Zionism would be long and bitter. It was a struggle for the very existence of the Arab people, he told thousands of cheering farm workers in this Nile Delta town. The U.A.R. leader was addressing the first of four mass rallies to explain his sweeping programme to reorganise Egyptian national life. In last night's speech, lasting nearly two hours and broadcast over Cairo Radio, he described Israel as an evil enemy which had achieved a success beyond its dreams through support from world Zionism and imperialism. The President repeated his call for mobilisation of the whole Arab nation and said circumstances required completion of the armed forces build-up.
