Most vegetables were sold at firices which were much above ast week’s, when the first sale after the Easter break was held in Christchurch produce markets yesterday. Supplies of lettuces, cucum-i bers, and sweet corn were more i than the demand required, and! prices for these were below average, as at last week’s sale. Prices paid for silver beet, cauliflowers, sprouts, spinach, and tomatoes were about half as much again as those of last week.
