EXPANSION PROGRAMME
Blackwell Motors, Ltd, has in the last few years been expanding at a rapid rate, and the managing director (Mr F. W. Blackwell), son of one of the original directors, Mr W. F.
Blackwell, said the company still had plans for at least one more branch in the present development scheme. Two and a half acres of land adjoining the Northland shopping centre have been bought and another branch will be opened there to provide service for customers in the northern part of the city. By then, the company will have service stations and branches servicing many areas in Christchurch. .The headoffice has been, ftmctioning since-1923. The Addington branch was opened in 1963. The Christchurch service station at Sydenham was opened earlier this year and the company merged with subdealers in Amberley, Darfield and Rangiora, this year. The Northland branch will be built in a few years.! After its completion,! the company will have,
