INVERCARGILL. Fort Nelson, which is to have his last start for the season, should carry the day in the Southland Invitation Stakes, the feature event and second leg of the double at the Gore Trotting Club’s autumn meeting tomorrow.
In a null but select teld. Fort Nelson win have to eope with form runners in Stewart Hanover, Allakasam. Meadowbank and Humphrey but he looks well up to the task. The first leg will be on the Gore Restricted Free-for-all for which Jimmy Dieman, Killadar and Gilda Tryax look a likely trio. An on-course double will be run on the President's Handicap and the D. P. Windle Memorial Handicap, for which Lady Gilda and Solomon will be a likely pair.
