A MONOSPAR ST25 AEROPLANE, piloted by its owner, Mr H. P. D. van Asch, taxi-ing in after competing in the Rothman’s air race for pre-1947 aircraft at the Marlborough Aero Club pageant in Blenheim. Mr van Asch brought the aircraft to New Zealand from England in 1937. It was used for aerial mapping until superseded by the Beechcraft. The plane had been stored at Hastings since the war, and was restored by staff of Aerial Mapping.
